It has been part of UNESCO’s World Heritage Site since 1996. It is the largest reef complex in the Atlantic-Caribbean region and represents the world’s second-largest reef system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reef comprises a unique natural system with offshore atolls, several hundred sand cays, mangrove forests, coastal lagoons, and estuaries. Plus, it is home to 70 types of coral and over 500 species of fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is one of the country’s must-see attractions. So,  if you love adventure, we recommend you plan a diving or snorkeling excursion to take it all in!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
